A disconnect from the past makes the future bleak. The exploits and impact of the heroes past must remain honourable to you; it is the only way to secure your own destiny.

You cannot ignore the old to birth the new. Walking in the path of the old is what births the new. Every generation should take its bearing from what already exists (Jeremiah 6:16-17; Romans 15:4). A disconnect from the past is a risk.

Everything new is birthed by the old. Every great tree today began with a seed from the old one.  This implies that every new thing is clearly a product of the old.

You can’t subscribe to divine instruction like Isaac did and not become the envy of your world. You can’t walk in the fear of the Lord as Joseph did and not have access to the secrets of God and emerge a star like Joseph did.

The benefit of the past is unfathomable. The past is an asset, not a burden. If you don’t walk in the ways of the past giants you will never emerge as one. Therefore don’t be slothful; short cuts are not safe, short cuts can be costly.

There is one fundamental requirement for accessing the realm of dominion - understanding the times and seasons of life

We serve a God of times and seasons (Ecclesiastes 3:1). God makes all things beautiful in its time so we must be conversant with His timing so as not to miss the beauty ordained for each season in our lives Ecclesiastes 3:11; 1 Chronicles 12:32).

This is the prime season of your life. The season you’re in now, according to scriptures is where your future is determined. Therefore don’t sell off your birthright.

It is your season of visions where you have a bearing for your life (Joel 2:28-29; 1 John 2:13-14).

It is your season of overcoming the issues of the present and the future. It is your season of building up for triumphant living. It is your season of strength against the day of battle (Proverbs 24:10).

You are in your age of discoveries which defines the beauty of your future. The earlier you discover, the easier it is for you to engage (Ecclesiastes 12:1).

You are in the planting season of your life. Every seed of scripture sown in your good and honest heart today guarantees a bountiful harvest of testimonies tomorrow (Luke 8:11).

How Important is this Season

Everything about life is timed. You’re expected to find your bearing in the race of life between the ages of twenty to thirty (Numbers 1:30,32,34,36,38,48). From the ages of thirty to fifty, you are required to prove your worth in the pursuit of the vision of your life (Numbers 4:30).

Life is an adventure in times and seasons. Know where you’re going on time, when you have the strength to run.

In your age of discovery start building a library relevant to where you are going to; embarking on objective study for the purpose of making discoveries. Your season of discovery places a demand on you. Only they that seek will ever find (Jeremiah 33:3).

Joseph was sold into slavery at the age of 17. He maintained the fear of God as a lifestyle. He had integrity and at 30 he ascended the throne of Egypt (Genesis 41:46).

David brought down Goliath at the age of 17 with a hot undying passion for God. David ascended the throne at 30 (2 Samuel 5:4).

Jesus Christ, our perfect example knew His mission at the age of 12 (Luke 2:47-49). He blew the world open at the age of 30 (Luke 3:23).

Get hooked unto God and you will become an amazement to your world in no time. Someone who will be outstanding tomorrow will not be dragging today in response to his assignments in life. You either subscribe to the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. Without taking responsibility, you end up a liability.

Knowing where you are going is key to getting anywhere. Therefore be spiritually positioned; endeavour to be in the spirit so you can hear when God is speaking. Leave here with a clearly defined mission for your life and abide there with full responsibility. In no time you will become the envy of your world.
